Chinese Tortilla Wraps

1 lb. ground beef or turkey

4 cloves of garlic, minced

1/2 cup chopped onion

Approximately 16 oz. finely chopped (I use my food processor with the chopping blade) veggies (Broccoli, cabbage, carrots, etc..)

1/3 cup Terriyaki or sezwan sauce

1 (or more) teaspoon fivespice (do not skip this, it makes the meal!)

10 ish flour tortillas

2 cups shredded monterey jack or cheddar cheese

Brown meat, onions and garlic in large skillet on stovetop over med to med-high heat, add chopped veggies, sauce and fivespice, cook a little longer (enough to heat it all up completely). Stir in cheese, spoon approximately 3/4 cup into center of slightly warmed tortilla, then fold up tightly like a little completely closed up burrito.

Side note: I like to make a lot more than this recipe calls for, and go heavy on the veggies... I use terriyaki sauce, and I chop to a fine pulp in my food processor approximately 2 large heads of broccoli, 1/2 a small head of purple cabbage, 1/2 of a med-lg head of green cabbage, and 5 to 10 carrots and terriyaki sauce and fivespice to taste.

You can cook these in a little hot oil in a skillet on your stove top, but I prefer to bake them. I lightly grease a cookie sheet, lay them out and bake them in an oven preheated to 425 degrees for about 10 minutes (till crispy).

These freeze and reheat from frozen very well, (about 1 minute on each side in the microwave) so I like to make lots and use them for future meals. I suggest serving with fried rice.

The Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul...
